To take all these to the next level as promised in my previous post, here’s the first of the reviews in which popular books would be analysed in detail. “Seven Habits of Highly Effective People” would make a great start as it is one of the popular books that have changed the lives of many people across the globe. In this post, I am going to talk about the first part of the book which prepares the readers for the things that are to come. It’s going be an interesting journey for you as well as for me to analyse this book part by part from now on. I hope all of you would enjoy this post as much as I did while writing and publishing it!


In the first part of this book named “Paradigms and Principles INSIDE OUT” ,  Dr Covey introduces the readers to the concept of focussing  on “Character Ethic” for effectiveness . The very nature of this concept is very broad and general. May it be your workplace, relationship or any other aspect of your life, there is no limitation where this could be applied.
He starts out by explaining the groundings behind this ideology by the realizations he had during the early experiences of his son’s upbringing.  One cannot dismiss this by stating it as an outcome of a subjective personal experience as he supports it with his research of the content of self-help books written over the past 200 years. According to him, a striking contrast has been found between those that were written for the first 150 years and the once that were written over the last 50 years.
