The arrival of a new born is one of the happiest moments in one’s life as a parent. A baby is treated as a valuable gift and a lot of sacrifice comes into play for giving it utmost care. But, this should not mean that parents must completely give up their daily fitness regimen during the upbringing process. After a point of time as the baby becomes a toddler, parents can resume their activities like aerobics, yoga and cycling to take care of themselves too.

There was a time when television was considered to be a major source of distraction to children, especially to those who were going to the elementary school. It was during such a time that a television series came into being and made everybody to think again on the commonly spread “single-sided” perceptions about the television. The show was none other than the popular “Sesame Street”.

It was first of its kind when it was released as it was the only children’s show to have definite educational motive. Not only that, the idea to use puppets (called “muppets” ) and other such “children-friendly” ways to inculcate the liking for learning even among toddlers was quite laudable . After such a start, the show gradually reached a tipping point and took the turn growing to the extent of getting the Grammy several times. The 40th anniversary of the show was recently celebrated in 2009. During this even the search engine giant, Google, paid its tribute through a lovely doodle on its home page.

Just think of this idea, wherever you apply this, it is easy to see it aptly fitting into that particular domain, may it be toppers at academics, writers, athletes, musicians , artists...they make it again and again.
