The title has a Sanskrit phrase which is in praise of the Lord Ganesh. It is quite common to see Hindus uttering this phrase before beginning a new chapter in their lives. But what could be the reason for this?
In ancient Sanskrit literature He is described as one with an elephant head having just one full tusk, big belly, ears like the basket used for winnowing by household women, small eyes, a serpent around the belly and a mouse as his vaahan(a special vehicle that almost every main Hindu gods possess ). His whole image is called as” Mangalmoorti Roop” which means a form that is auspicious.
The personality of this god is said to be mixture of two apparent things which is”Riddhi” meaning resourcefulness and “Siddhi” meaning perfection. A common belief about him is that he brings “Shubh aur Laabh” (welfare and gain) to those who worship him. The above description of his appearance in the Vedic scriptures is not just to make out a mental picture of him but to make it clear that he is of the form of the monosyllable mystic sound symbol OM.( I hope the answer for the question is clear now…..)
After all, God is nothing but a supreme universal power. All prayers will be answered irrespective of
form, name or way of worship when is done with all sincerity and devotion. GOD IS ONE!
